Well, we are back from our brief blogging hiatus. I was unable to get to my blog for a while as there were problems with our Internet. Luckily, those problems are fixed!
Here's what we're up to these days...
Charlie had his annual IFSP meeting last Tuesday. This meeting is to determine how he is doing developmentally and health wise, and to set up his services, therapies, or appointments with specialists for the next year. His services coordinator, infant teacher, day care teacher, occupational therapist, and I were all at the meeting. We all agreed that Charlie is doing very well. Developmentally he is right around 18 months in most areas, except gross motor where he is closer to 12 months because he is not walking yet. Overall I feel good about how the meeting went. I am incredibly proud of how Charlie is doing. Our area is such a wonderful, supportive place to raise children who have developmental differences. We have so many wonderful people helping us to help Charlie become his fullest and best.
Calvin is just about 6 weeks old. He is gaining almost one pound a week. I think the pediatricians exact words last week were "Holy Mackerel!" He started smiling a couple weeks ago, and is also cooing. He is a social little guy, and gets upset if he is left out of the fun. Charlie is such a great brother. He is still a little rough at times, but it is all done in love;-) He likes to give Calvin kisses to cheer him up when I am changing him. Calvin smiles at Charlie all the time. Here's a pic of our littlest bug:
